In the fall of 2016, there were a series of workshops in which students produced hand made projects. These will continue as the project evolves.
A conference in May 2017 was launched with keynote speakers, Ann Rosalind Jones and Peter Stallybrass. Students then presented their work throughout the day, with a break for a weaving workshop led by Callen Zimmerman and Kat Roberts.

– Eugenia Paulicelli, The Fabric of Cultures: Systems in the Making
The exhibit Fabric of Cultures: Systems in the Making was held at the Art Center, Queens College, City University of New York, October 5 – December 16, 2017.
